FAQs
What should I expect from my first ‘Me..time’ Pilates class?
Before your first class, we’ll ask you to complete a Health Questionnaire. We want to know about old injuries or limitations. At class, the teacher will welcome you and explain how we will work together to achieve your goals. Every client is monitored closely on how to move through each exercise and if changes need to be made, you’ll be advised by the teacher. After class the teacher is available for any questions you may have.
I’m not very flexible — is ‘Me..time’ Pilates really for me?
Absolutely, yes. Pilates is for everyone of any age, gender and ability, flexible or not. Our teaching is very specific to you personally and each exercise will be adapted to suit your ability. One of the very many benefits of Pilates is increased flexibility. So even if you don’t feel like you can move much at the start, over time and with practice you’ll improve your flexibility.
Do I need to bring my own mat and equipment?
Not to a Beginner ‘Me..time’ Pilates class as we provide everything for you, but for all other classes you’ll need to bring your own mat.
How many people are in a class?
At ‘Me..time’ Pilates we keep our classes to a maximum of twelve people, which gives the teacher ample time for individual attention, giving you a tailored experience.
Beginner classes have a maximum of only six people because it is essential all clients receive extensive individual attention.
What should I wear to a ‘Me..time’ Pilates class?
Comfy loose fitting clothing is key so that you can move around freely during the exercises. No shoes are worn, so wearing socks is always a good idea.
Should I eat before coming to a ‘Me..time’ Pilates class?
You can eat a light meal , but we strongly advise against eating a large meal before class as it will affect your training. We recommend bringing a bottle of water to class to keep you hydrated.
How long before I will see or feel any results?
This is very difficult to answer as it really depends on what you’re looking to achieve. Some people feel the results after their first ‘Me..time’ Pilates class, while others may take longer to feel the effects.
